Sucht – Melodie dalla notte siberiana

Chi mi conosce ormai dovrebbe sapere che é da qualche mese che musicalmente mi sto muovendo nella scena musicale alternative russa.
Scoprendo una marea di gruppi che vale la pena di ascoltare, riascoltare e anche seguire piú attentamente.
Uno di questi gruppi sicuramente sono i Sucht.
Risvegliarono la mia attenzione su myspace verso lo scorso natale per il semplice fatto che i loro testi erano scritti in tedesco.
Mi misi ad ascoltare i loro pezzi e da li a poco decisi di scrivergli un messaggio chiedendo il perché della loro scelta di cantare in tedesco?
Non dovetti aspettare a lungo e nella mia casella trovo la risposta di Neferegio, il batterista del gruppo, che mi dice che avevano scelto il tedesco per i loro testi perché secondo loro si addice molto bene allo stile di musica che fanno.
Come dargli torto? Dopo qualche ascolto piú attento dei loro pezzi penso abbia perfettamente ragione anche se personalmente fino a quel giorno mi ero gia affezionato al suono della lingua russa nelle canzoni che stavo ascoltando.
Vi starete ormai chiedendo chi sono sti Sucht e cosa fanno?
Sbocciati da un bozzolo nel 2004/2005 a Novosibirsk, nel cuore della fredda Siberia, e trasformatisi lentamente in una delicata rosa nera.
Formati dai seguenti componenti:
Ramires – ????? ???????? (Roman Kurochkin): chitarra, campionamenti, cori;
Tavi – ????? ?????????? (Alyona Melnikova): voce;
Voff – ????????? ????????? (Alexander Vinokurov): tastiera e campionamenti;
Any – ?????? ???????? (Maxim Pavlovich): basso, cori;
Neferegio – ????????? ?????????? (Stanislav Demyanovich): batteria.
Il gruppo inizialmente comprese un secondo chitarrista il quale peró per questioni di stili musicali differenti lasció la formazione mettendosi a suonare con il gruppo P.OR.NO.
I Sucht Ammalgano ritmiche dark gothic supportate eccelemtemente dalla voce dolce soffice e a tratti triste e sognante e toccante di Tavi. Mentre le tastiere di Voff e i campionamenti danno un tocco industrial progressive a riccordarci che siamo in mezzo a questa’era tecnologica a che ci dovremo abuituare a questa notte “diese nacht ist für immer”-“questa notte é per sempre”(sternlich).
Perfetta sintonia tra Any e Neferegio a supportare le melodie e i riff a tratti noise di Ramires e a invitarci a sentire i loro colori(“komm und sieh meine farben”) dei loro suoni.
Al loro attivo hanno un album “Komm un sieh meine Farben”(2007) estremamente piacevole da ascoltare in diverse occasioni. Melodico e potente allo stesso tempo. A tratti un muro sonoro che invade la tua mente. Musicalmente elaborato ottimamente. Le canzoni dell’album si possono trovare sul loro sito: www.sucht.ru o su lastfm.
Al momento impegnati nella registrazioe di un video live e nella produzione di un singolo “Gibmir” che dovrebbe uscire alla fine di febbrario.
E chiaramente sono piú che curioso di vedere come sará il risultato di questo loro nuovo lavoro.
Da non perdere di vista per il momento.
Sucht – Melodies from the siberian night
Those who know me, should know that since a few months I’m looking into the Russian alternative music scene.
Discovering a lot of bands that are worth to listen, listen again and follow more closely.
One of these bands is certainly Sucht.
They woken up my attention on myspace at about the last Christmas for the simple fact that their texts were written in German.
I begun to listen to their songs and then I decided to send them a message asking why they choose to sing in German.
I wasn’t waiting that long and in my mailbox I find the answer of Neferegio, the drummer of the band, who tells me that they have chosen German for their lyrics because it is very well suited to the style of music they do.
I simply needed to agree! After some more careful listening to the songs I think he’s absolutely right, though personally until that day I was already attached to the sound of the Russian language in the songs I was listening to.
Now maybe you’re asking yourself who are Sucht and what do they do?
Emerged from a cocoon in 2004/2005 in Novosibirsk, in the heart of the cold Siberia, and slowly turned into a delicate black rose.
Bandmembers:
Ramires – ????? ???????? (Roman Kurochkin): guitar, programming, back vocals);
Tavi – ????? ?????????? (Alyona Melnikova): vocals);
Voff – ????????? ????????? (Alexander Vinokurov): keyboard and programming;
Any – ?????? ???????? (Maxim Pavlovich): bass, back vocals;
Neferegio – ????????? ?????????? (Stanislav Demyanovich): drums.
The band begun the project with a second guitarist but because of different musical ideas he left and now he plays in the band P.OR.NO.
Sucht are melting together dark and gothic rhytms. Excelletly supported by the soft and sweet and from time to time dreamy, sad and touching voice of Tavi. While Voff’s keyboards and the sampls gives a progressive industrial touch to make us clear that we are in the middle of a technological era and that we need to be used to this endless night “diese nacht ist für immer” – “this night is forever” (sternlich).
Any is in perfect harmony with Neferegio to support the melodies and riffs(from time to time randomly noisy) of Ramires and encourage us to feel the colors(“komm und sieh meine farben”) of their sound.
At their activity they have an album “Komm an sieh meine Farben” (2007) very pleasant to listen to on several occasions. Melodic and powerful at the same time. Sometimes a sound-wall that fills your mind. Musically very well prepared. The songs of the album can be found on their site: www.sucht.ru or on Lastfm.
Currently engaged in the recording of a live video and in the production of a single “Gibmir” which should come out at the end of February.
I’m more than curious to see how the result of their new work will be.
